ROSE OF SHARON POTTERY

Sharon began her career in Cincinnati, Ohio as a teacher specializing in Ceramics.
She served on many fine arts committees, amidst
furthering her education at the University of Cincinnati  and Miami at Oxford.
From there, Sharon returned to her native home of Jacksonville, Florida.
She became the Arts and Crafts Specialist for the City of Jacksonville and made her name in the art community. Sharon is also a well known instructor and skilled artist in her craft.

Since her retirement from her community commitments and her position with the city of Jacksonville, Sharon has become an accomplished free -lance artist. She displays her work at many fine art venues.

Sharon was most recently recognized for her creation of her Hurricane Cross which she has the copyright for .  This particular work has been published in both The Florida Times Union,  and Jacksonville Magazine.  You may find her one-of-a-kind works of art in gift shops throughout Florida and other states.

Although creating new works for shops or shows takes up the bulk of her time,Sharon loves spending time with her family and practicing her favorite hobby of photography
